Austin Businesses Field Trip
It was a rainy Thursday morning. First of all, in that Field Trip we had had to make interviews with workers in different stores. My group was Huleya, Niky, and I. Next, the fist store we went was Amy’s (ice cream store). It was closed, but there was worker outside the store. I asked the guy if we could interview hem and he said “yes of course.” He was very helpful and so respectful. It was raining strongly, so he let us in said before they open. Then we started interview the Amy’s worker.
''we are English students and we want to interview you about your job.” I said.
"How is your environment” Hulya said.
"I love it; I am enjoying my job because our customers are always happy.” The worker said.
"How long have you been with Amy’s?" I said.
"4 years." The worker said.
“What are popular brands?"I asked him.
"Vanilla ice cream." The worker said.
"I have tried /Mexican vanilla."Niki said.
"What is the less popular ice cream?" Hulya said.
"actually everybody likes ice cream but I think white chocolate because it is heaver than another kinds." The worker said.
"Who are the main customers?" I asked.
" Groups, people who are dating, friends, and of course children." The worker said.
"Do you need something special to help you in your job?" Niki said.
"I need bigger sign; because our sign is very old." The worker said.
"How is your relationship with managers?" I said. he was smiling "My boss is really good she is very honest." The worker said.
"What is the best and worst part in your job?" Hulya said.
"The best part is I really like to talk to people, the worst part I think is nothing but maybe it is cleaning. We clean everyday here.” The worker said.
After we finished the interview we thanked the worker, and left the store.
Second, Hulya said what about if we interview the worker in flowers store. I said “ok” and Niki said “I love flowers. “Then we went there and I said to the worker “hi, we are English students and we want to interview you if you don’t mind.”
"yes how can I help you?” the worker said.
"We want to ask you some questions" I said.
"okay." the worker said.
"How is your work environment?" Hulya said.
"I like work in Whole Food and I like flowers." The worker said.
"How long have you been working with the flowers?" I said.
"4 years." The worker said.
"Who is your competition?" Hulya said.
"Central market" the worker said.
"What is popular brand?" Niki said.
"I think most popular flower in Taxes is speculate" The worker said.
"What is the most flowers people like? " I said.
"Peonies." The worker said.
"What are the less flowers people like?" Hulya said.
"Spider mums.” The worker said.
"Who are the main customers?" I said.
"Everybody like flowers I think it is for every one." The worker said.
"What things do you think that it will help you to be more professional in your job?” Niki said.
"Every thing is okay, but more team members make it more exited." The worker said.
"How is your relationship with your managers?" Hulya said.
"It is very good, I feel comfortable with them.” The worker said.
"What is the best and worst part of working in this store?" I said.
"We have many activities in here, this is the best part, but the worst is when there are too many customers or order in the same time.
After we finished the interviews we went to the Whole food, and we speeded some time drinking some tea and talking. Then we went back to school.

Look at the difference:

"Spider mums.” The worker said.

"Spider mums,” the worker said.

See??? The second one is correct.

Other than that, a very good conversation. That makes me happy that the people at Amy's Ice Cream were so kind and helpful to you. I wish everyone could be like that. Have you eaten any Amy's ice cream before? Go get some!! (matt)
